We are a leader in gas distribution, first in Italy and third in Europe, and thanks to our infrastructures we play a leading role in the energy transition towards the decarbonisation of the economy and consumption, in line with the European Union’s Green Deal targets.
Mission
Through our work we aim to promote the fundamental role of natural gas in the energy transition process towards a decarbonised and circular economy. Every day, for over 180 years, the work of the men and women at Italgas has enabled millions of Italians to use a sustainable, durable, reliable source of energy.
Vision
Our ambition is to lead the European energy transition by providing our ‘future’ distribution network, capable of accommodating renewable gases such as biomethane and hydrogen. With our investment plan and an increasingly digitalised grid, we are paving the way for the energy system of tomorrow, contributing to Europe’s ambitious decarbonisation process.
