Shaping the Future of Energy Networks , part of the “Ideas 4 Italgas” program, aims to promote the search for innovative solutions and technologies capable of improving the resilience of networks and supporting the decarbonization of the country. An initiative that aims to shape the future of energy networks through the development of innovative and sustainable scenarios.

The initiative is open to any working group made up of two or more people, as well as startups and SMEs, with a winning idea to propose.

The application must include information about the applicant, a brief description of the proposal, the technical development, the delivery timeline, and a cost-benefit analysis. The collection of proposals will be managed entirely on the platform.

Collection and Acceptance of Applications
Participants can submit their proposal by completing the dedicated application form until 11:59 p.m. on July 31.

Selection of Finalist
The Evaluation Committee will review the ideas and projects by the established deadline, determining their selection or non-selection.

Final event to celebrate and present the results of the initiative.
Project Partners
The “Ideas 4 Italgas: Shaping the Future of Energy Networks” initiative is carried out in collaboration with I3P – the Incubator of Politecnico di Torino.
I3P supports the creation and growth of innovative startups with high technological intensity and growth potential, founded both by university researchers and students, as well as by external entrepreneurs, by providing strategic consulting services, coaching, mentoring, fundraising support, and workspaces.
The mission of I3P is to support the entrepreneurship ecosystem, with the aim of generating economic development and employment in innovative industrial supply chains.

It is possible to submit your idea by completing the participation form by 11:59 pm CET on July 31, 2026 .
The main selection criteria for the ideas refer to: Company solidity, technical feasibility, proposal impact, priority, and strategic relevance for Italgas.
There is no maximum number of ideas, projects, or proposals.
Yes, it is possible to save the entered data and complete the application form later, leaving the submission in “draft” status. Ideas must in any case be submitted no later than 11:59 pm CET on July 31, 2026.
Yes, once the idea has been submitted you could modify the data in the application form.
The Evaluation Committee will assess it and determine its possible selection for a targeted in-depth review, with the possibility of accessing a co-development and/or testing path through the support and expertise of Italgas.
The initiative will conclude in November 2026 with the winners’ award event.
The subjects that have submitted suitable projects or ideas responding to the needs of Italgas and/or I3P may be contacted for an Italgas Proof of Concept and/or a 6-month incubation program at I3P.
